9/21/07 First Project - Explore Composition
A) Review the following website http://www.scphoto.com/html/composition.html
B) Now print out this web page http://www.wildthingsphoto.com/tips/tip0206.htm You
may want to click and explore each composition guideline further and take some
notes on your printout.
C) Using images from magazines or your own images, try to find an image that
displays each of the composition guidelines in the chart you printed out. Label
and organize them in your binder behind the chart. Bring your images and
any extra magazines to next week's meeting.
D) Be prepared to share any interesting insights you gained about composition.

to create a composite by combining elements from multiple images.

Please note - according to the rules, "an entry ... will be judged
primarily on how well the student
uses his or her artistic vision to portray the theme. A welldeveloped
concept is more important than technique." Given this it is very important
that you use every opportunity available to you to convey your vision to
the judges. In particular you should include a title of your work on the
entry form as well as describe what inspired you to creat this work in
the Optional Artist Statement.
